Dugonoga miss Gibraltara Kaiane Aldorino izabrana je za miss sveta 2009. između 112 kandidatkinja na takmičenju koje je održano u subotu u Južnoafričkoj Republici.
Za zvanično najlepšu devojku na svetu izabrana je Miss Gilbraltara u Johanesburgu, a ova u dvadesetdvogodišnja lepotica donela je svojoj zemlji titulu prvi put od kad takmičenje postoji.
- Hvala Južnoafričkoj Republici, ovo je najepši trenutak u mom životu - rekla je lepa Miss Gibraltara sa suzama u očima. Predstavnica Meksika Perla Beltran Acosta je prva pratilja, a druga pratilja je Tatum Keshwar iz Južnoafričke Republike.
Ovo 59. takmičenje u lepoti koje se deveti put održava u Južnoafričkoj Republici, televizije su direktno prenosile iz Midranda, severnog predgrađa Johanesburga.
Prošlogodišnja miss sveta, Ruskinja Ksenija Suhinova predala je krunu srećnoj pobednici, a sledeće takmičenje će se održati u Vijetnamu.
Inače, srpska predstavnica na izboru za Mis sveta 2009. užičanka Jelena Marković završila je tek na 103. mestu (ukupno je bilo 146. takmičarki) i tako potvrdila teoriju da ove godine definitivno nismo izabrali najlepšu Srpkinju.
